Job Description

AEP is seeking talented and motivated Coordinator Sr - Prin. to become an integral part of our transmission dispatch team.

What You'll Do:

Collaborative Planning : Coordinates work activities of others within the work group, team or those located externally to AEP including contractors, vendors as required to resolve routine technical tasks and field work activities. Develops and maintains rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with customers. Participates in AEP and associated contractor's meetings covering outage/project schedule, safety issues and operations and maintenance of equipment.

Detailed Documentation: Assists in evaluating contracting methods, reviewing drawings and preparing basic cost estimates using established standards. Clearly and concisely develops and presents or reviews reports with customers as needed.

Effective Communication: Develops and maintains rapport to assure cooperation and productive working relationships with customers.

Quality Assurance : Review and check work performed by peers to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with company methods.

Mentorship: Participates in providing training, performance improvements for projects and activities of lower level employees or peers.

Safety First : Actively promote and participate in our Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs.

Integrity and Compliance: Demonstrates working knowledge of appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines. Monitors Work and Asset Management to ensure that work is performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.

This posting represents multiple positions that offer a range of opportunities for advancement. The minimum qualifications outlined below apply to the Coordinator Sr level, with increased requirements for the Coordinator Prin level.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university or college or an associate's technical degree and 6 years of experience in design, operations, planning, construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in work activities and projects requiring technical knowledge.

Other Must Haves:

Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills backed by an enthusiastic approach and a diligent client focus.

Ability to interface and work well with different levels of individual contributors and management is required.

Experience in business unit operations and business acumen strongly preferred.

Understanding of business unit financial and operations systems and databases preferred.

Is proactive in responsibilities and does not wait for direction from management to conduct work.

Coordinator Prin (Grade 09) $ 112,869 - $140,000

Compensation Range:

$85,081.00-106,352.50 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
