DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Children & Youth Assistant Administrator 1, you will be responsible for the overall management of the agency in the absence of the Administrator. This involves participating in long and short-term planning; assisting with the review of performance evaluations; interviewing and selecting new hires; as well as managing program planning and development for staff, providers, and other committees. You will have the opportunity to monitor direct and contracted services to ensure program quality, efficiency, and conformance with established federal, state, and local regulations and policies. Additional responsibilities include:

Analyzing and developing operational policies and procedures

Assisting with implementing the annual plan and budget

Serving as the internship liaison

Representing the agency at meetings

Preparing a variety of program reports and correspondence

Conducting agency staff training

Acting as emergency on-call back-up supervisor within rotation of other agency supervisors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Three years of experience in the field of public or private social work, including one year working with children and youth in an administrative or supervisory capacity; and a bachelor's degree; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.

Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
