Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Docketing Supervisor to join a prestigious international law firm client. This individual will be a vital member to the firms docketing team, supporting daily docketing operations for the West Coast offices. As a supervisor, the individual will be overseeing and training 2 entry-level clerks and will report directly into the docketing manager. This role requires a strong understanding of state and federal California rules, practices, procedures, and systems of the courts and agencies frequented by the firm.

The day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Researching California state and federal court/agency procedural rules and practices.

Docketing all incoming litigation mail, notices from court and all pleadings in a litigation matter, while following firms established systems, routines, and schedules.

Supervise entry-level docketing clerks; provide direction, review executed work, and deliver constructive feedback and training (e-filing in both state & federal courts, docket function, e-filing systems, etc.)

Ensure docketing systems are updated by verifying that all documents are entered for each case and that the deadlines are calculated correctly.

Advise attorneys on court procedure, including electronic case filing procedures.

This is a full-time position that is local to Los Angeles or San Fran in the office 3-4 days a week.

Compensation

$110,000 to $130,000 per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, level of experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.

Skills and Requirements

At least 5 years of docketing experience, currently in a supervisor position, within a law firm that a strong litigation practice

Experience overseeing and training entry-level clerks

Knowledge of electronic docketing software, preferably CompuLaw, and e-filing experience

Working knowledge of and interest in civil procedure and practice in California state and federal courts

Detail-oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Bachelors degree or comparable work experience Experience working at a top Am Law 100 firm null
