Customer Service Representive

Our client, a dedicated service provider, is seeking a Customer Service Representative I to join their team. As a Customer Service Representative I, you will be part of a vital support system for U.S. Veterans, delivering accurate and respectful service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality service, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Customer Service Representative I

Location: Mcallen, TX and Brownsville, TX

Must live in RGV

Pay Range: $17.75 plus $4.93 in H/W

Shift: Must have open flexibility to work Monday through Saturdays from 5AM to 9PM. (40 hours - 8 hour shifts)

What's the Job?

Properly authenticate each caller before verifying or releasing any information.

Place outgoing and receive incoming calls to and from Veterans regarding compensation and pension exams.

Verify and modify personal information and obtain scheduling availability of Veterans.

Confirm or reschedule appointments and document changes in the system.

Explain policies and procedures of the VA to Veterans who are unfamiliar with the services.

What's Needed?

Strong communication skills and professionalism.

Ability to handle calls efficiently while maintaining a low call time.

Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work in a remote call center environment.
