Farmer Brothers Coffee is looking for a motivated Information Technology Intern to join our team. The Information Technology Intern will work closely with our Information Technology team to assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure and security programs.

IT Infrastructure interns at Farmer Brothers have the opportunity to gain experience through different functions across IT such as:

Network Engineer

WAN/LAN Management

Packet capture techniques

DNS Management

Wireless networking

Routing and switching

Troubleshooting

System Administrator

Client and server operating Systems

Active Directory

Hypervisor virtualization

Storage Platforms

Office 365

Security Engineer/Analyst

Assist with the monitoring and analysis of security-related incidents and events.

Conduct research on emerging security threats and assist with the development of countermeasures.

Assist with the development and delivery of information security awareness training.

Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Personal Skills:

Detail-oriented and able to maintain focus for extended periods

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and security concepts

Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and databases

Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies
