Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes. Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Handle accounts receivable duties, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

Enter financial data with precision and verify information for consistency.

Prepare and process invoices, adhering to company guidelines.

Assist with billing procedures and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks to update and maintain financial records.

Collaborate with team members to support overall accounting operations.

Generate reports to provide insights into financial activities and trends. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.

Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial record maintenance.

Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with invoice processing and resolving billing discrepancies.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications are a plus.
