The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. The Supply Chain Program Team is responsible for delivering vehicle programs on time, within budget, and with compliance to key regulatory requirements. We are the leads within the Supply Chain team to oversee the deliverables to the vehicles, managing target setting, sourcing, cost, quality and operational execution to get profitable vehicles successfully to market. Additionally, we are part of cross-functional vehicle and powertrain teams, supporting numerous forums as the recognized Supply Chain leader. This Senior Manager will be supervising Program Managers and Program Buyers, who are responsible for key sourcing deliverables (timing, cost, regulatory requirements, etc.). This role requires ability to provide strong leadership and navigate complex problems, and offers high visibility and significant opportunities for growth and development. Role requires a high level of business acumen, resilience, cross-functional process knowledge, agility to quickly pivot, and ability to develop and execute plans, both long and short term.
In this position...
Lead and develop a small team of highly capable people, including LL6 level managers.
Drive on-time sourcing of Ford product programs.
Manage competitive cost delivery - including general knowledge of manufacturing cost drivers, as well as ability to focus and deep dive specific challenges to drive resolution of cost issues.
What you'll do...
Represent the Program in Senior Supply Chain Manager Program Reviews as required to keep the teams on track, discuss key issues and help needed, and disseminate information.
Lead analysis of supplier data, program data, business data - to enable effective planning and anticipation and mitigation of program challenges.
Monitor and deliver USMCA compliance, EU7 regulations, and other key regulatory requests from a program perspective.
Lead special requests (desktop studies, localization studies, timing studies, etc.) as needed from a program perspective.
Prioritize training and development of team members.
Motivate buyer training and development through attendance at key training sessions and through creating knowledge sharing of best practices within larger team.
Build strong relationships within the various Supply Chain teams.
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Product Development, Finance,
Manufacturing, Product and Cycle Planning, MP&L, and the various other organizations we regularly interface with.
You'll have...
Bachelors Degree.
8+ years of supply chain/commodity/program management or related experience.
Experience managing a team of direct reports.

Masters Degree
10+ years of supply chain/program/commodity management experience in theAutomotive industry
Strong communicator that can effectively transition from bottom-up details to concise, clear executive-level messaging.
Strategic and analytical thinking to develop effective and organized program reviews on weekly basis.
Excellent track record of managing teams, including high levels of engagement, motivation and employee satisfaction with their workplace environment
Ability to build relationships and trust across organizations to drive decisions and alignment.
Strong data & analytics understanding for synthesis of complex data into clear, understandable format.
Ability to interpret and translate organization needs into specific program actions and next steps.
Strong knowledge across complex sourcing processes.
