Overview
THE ROLE:
The Senior Warehouse Manager will work onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Lake Forest, CA to oversee and execute all warehousing activities to ensure smooth plant operations. K
Key responsibilities include:
Managing warehouse activities to ensure the receipt, coordination, and safety of materials and goods, and timely processing of orders to appropriate destinations in correct quantities.
Supervise key functions such as receiving, storage, picking, staging, inventory control, and shipping/transporting activities.
A critical aspect of this role involves maintaining efficient inventory control, which includes monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, implementing inventory management systems, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This ensures that materials are available for manufacturing when needed and that finished goods are dispatched promptly to distribution centers or third-party storage facilities to support global operations.
Supervise the flow of products from material receipt from suppliers to delivery to manufacturing, and the receipt of finished goods from manufacturing to shipping.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:
Oversee warehouse team operations with an emphasis on data to achieve company objectives.
Work cross-functionally to build best-in-class warehousing and logistics systems, processes, and procedures.
Manage, coach, and train warehouse personnel, leading and empowering team members to increase their potential and contributions to key performance goals. Set clear performance requirements, measure staff performance, and support their development.
Provide direction and coordination for warehouse activities, optimizing the use of workers, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Establish work practices, SOPs, and work instructions to enhance performance, ensure inventory accuracy, streamline handling, improve productivity, and apply continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles.
Promote safe, efficient material flow and ensure the overall safety, cleanliness, security, and organization of the warehouse while staying updated on federal and state safety regulations and industry standards.
Ensure warehouse operations follow cGMP and regulatory requirements, including food defense and preventive controls.
Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with logistics carriers and collaborate with Transportation for priority planning.
Work with Quality and Purchasing to manage non-conforming materials and products, and coordinate internally to optimize safety stock for global business needs.
Ensure timely electronic recording of inventory transactions, oversee physical inventories and cycle counts for accurate counts and financial valuation, and recommend and implement projects to lead, track, control, and monitor inventories.
Implement systems throughout warehousing operations, train personnel on their use, and provide expertise on warehouse management, inventory practices, WMS systems, and associated technology.
Provide recommendations on warehousing and logistics optimization throughout the network.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly manages all shift Warehouse Supervisors; Indirectly responsible for a team of up to 30 warehouse personnel.
Responsible for all Warehousing operations in both Building 1 and Building 3 located in Lake Forest, and inventory control of Finished Goods at the Distributions Centers.
Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of WMS or equivalent inventory control systems
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization
Capable of understanding operational requirements to provide effective support
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of progressive Warehouse and Inventory Management experience including WMS.
Previous experience in collaborating across multiple departments and multiple distribution center locations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or relevant business equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MS in Business, Operations, Engineering, or relevant equivalent; MBA.
Bilingual (Spanish - English) preferred.
Experience in a cGMP environment.
Extensive experience with Oracle WMS or equivalent.
Expert level knowledge of current and evolving practices in warehousing and logistics.
