IREN is currently looking for a
Construction Civil Supervisorto join our Sweetwater, TX team. Joining our construction crew, the right candidate will demonstrate leadership skills. We are looking for a candidate with strong Civil Supervisor experience and a positive attitude.
We have grown substantially since 2019, from our inception in Australia to now having several facilities across North America and being listed on NASDAQ and we are just getting started! Experience - Minimum 7-10 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 3-5 years as a superintendent on industrial projects (e.g., oil and gas, power plants, or heavy industrial).
Education - High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, including concrete, grading, paving, and underground utilities.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and schedules.
Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project, MS Office Suite)
Other important requirements:
Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
Reporting to Construction Manager the Civil Construction Supervisor is responsible for
Project Oversight - Supervise daily civil construction activities including earthworks, concrete, structural steel, and site utilities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedule and specifications.
Team Management - Monitor and mentor subcontractors ensuring productivity and compliance with safety protocols.
Safety Compliance - Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks to maintain a safe work environment.
Quality Control - Monitor work progress and quality, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards. Address deficiencies promptly. Ensure duties are performed safely and in compliance with all Company, Federal, State, and local regulations.
Stakeholder Communication - Collaborate with construction managers, project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues, provide progress updates, and align on project goals.
Documentation - Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, schedules, and change orders to track progress and support project reporting.
Problem Solving - Identify and resolve on-site challenges such as weather delays, design conflicts, or labor shortages to keep the project on track.

Starting rate of pay: $39.00-43.00/hour
