Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our growing finance team in Milford, Massachusetts. This role offers broad exposure to various accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post monthly journal entries and accruals to maintain accurate financial records.

Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts and other general ledger accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Assist with invoice tracking and support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams in day-to-day operations.

Analyze vendor and client accounts to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting.

Collaborate on month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Generate ad hoc financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making processes.

Work closely with senior leadership to address accounting queries and deliver data-driven solutions.

Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to streamline processes and maintain organized records.

Support annual inventory adjustments and related accounting tasks.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with exposure to general ledger functions.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices.

Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

Ability to perform bank reconciliations and handle month-end close procedures.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
