Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Riverside, California. In this long-term contract role, you will support key financial operations and contribute to maintaining accurate records while ensuring compliance with organizational procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to grow in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process invoices using QuickBooks Desktop with accuracy and efficiency.

Apply payments to insurance carriers and former employees on behalf of employees and retirees.

Generate detailed financial reports using Microsoft Excel to support decision-making processes.

Record and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate bookkeeping and compliance.

Reconcile accounts to identify discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Perform data entry tasks with precision to support the overall accounting functions.

Collaborate using Microsoft Teams to coordinate financial activities and resolve issues.

Support billing operations by verifying and processing payment information effectively. Requirements - Exposure to accounting practices through a degree or work experience.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for invoicing and account management.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for creating and analyzing reports.

Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Ability to perform account reconciliations with attention to detail.

Effective data entry skills to ensure accuracy in financial records.

Positive and detail-oriented attitude with a commitment to reliability.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes.
