Job Description:
The Director Public Finance TDS is responsible for raising capital and recommending strategic advisory transactions for governmental, not-for-profit and developer clients. Reviews financial cash flow models, and various financial analyses, including bond structuring. Maintains senior client relationships and delivers presentations on proposed transactions. Acts as a senior member of the team and provides oversight to deal team members and junior resources.
Depth & Scope
Leads the team in the development of the Public Finance Origination business in the U.S. for TD Securities
Ensures that each proposed transaction receive appropriate underwriting approvals (and swap limit approvals) under TD approved procedures
Authorizes transactions attesting that they meet or exceed regulatory standards
Develops and promotes a business model and strategy which focuses strong partnering with officers of the Firm, its affiliates and in particular with relationship bankers of TD Bank N.A. to enhance the Banks profile and market share of Municipal, not-for-profit and Public Finance business in TD's defined market
Position is responsible for developing, training and mentoring employees on the Public Finance Origination team to strengthen the teams overall performance as well as that of the individuals
Position liaises closely with the banks other operations and product groups in the U.S. to assist in meeting the banks objectives
Position possesses expert knowledge on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound underwriting and trading decisions. Position develops and maintains contacts with market participants
Education & Experience:
Minimum requirement is a bachelors degree in Business, Mathematics or Economics
8+ Years of direct experience required
FINRA Series 7 and 63 Licenses required
