Job Summary
We have an exciting position open within the Enterprise Cost & Business Analysis team at Caterpillar for a Senior Manager Corporate Finance. In this role, the Senior Manager Corporate Finance provides leadership for investment analyses and investment governance processes. This position is well aligned with the Global Finance Services Organization's strategy to provide deeper strategic business insights supporting profitable growth while utilizing enhanced digital capabilities.
What You Will Do:
Partner with multiple business units to provide insights and analysis in the preparation of strategic investment decisions
Ensure adherence to corporate procedures related to acquisitions of capital assets, leases, new product introductions, and other investments
Partner with leadership teams to define growth plans and strategies for expansion into additional product lines, segments or parts of the value chain
Take lead on communicating with tax, treasury, and other functional areas to resolve issues and ensure compliance globally and regionally as it relates to investment proposals
Drive innovation through leadership of process improvements and enhanced digital capabilities for investment analysis across the enterprise
Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports
What You Have:
Education/Experience: The position typically requires a college or university degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields and/or equivalent experience.
Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
Business Case Justification: Knowledge of the how's and why's of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; ability to justify business expenditures by identifying cost, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Financial Forecasting and Modeling: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results.

This role can be located in Peoria, Illinois or Irving, Texas.

$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
