Job Description: Sr Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing manufacturing methods that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate product quality. This position requires a proactive leader who can work closely with vendors, optimize production processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop, evaluate, and implement manufacturing methods to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

Analyze and optimize workforce utilization, production workflows, space utilization, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency in production operations.

Collaborate with vendors to define product specifications and ensure materials, tooling, and equipment meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Assess products, materials, and processes against established quality standards and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, engineering changes, product specifications, and project progress in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and manufacturing teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing process enhancements, cost-reduction strategies, and innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing operations.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - preferred.

6-8 years of experience is preferred; however, 20+ years of experience will also be considered.

Experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and work instructions.

Proficiency in Six Sigma, machining, tooling, and providing leadership and supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Prior experience as a lead, supervisor, or manufacturing manager is desired.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.
