Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic finance leader to join our client's team in Holden, Massachusetts. As the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in shaping the financial future of our organization while ensuring alignment with its mission and goals. This is a contract position offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic financial guidance to organizational leadership, ensuring financial plans align with mission-driven goals.

Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and financial reporting, with a focus on AR and credit card transactions.

Supervise and mentor a finance team of four, fostering growth and collaboration.

Utilize accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Stampli to efficiently process payments and uphold compliance standards.

Lead the preparation and execution of the organization's financial audit, addressing findings promptly and effectively.

Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to protect organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulations.

Monitor cash flow, oversee financial forecasting, and manage budgets to support long-term organizational sustainability.

Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to inform decision-making.

Demonstrate expertise in nonprofit financial practices while upholding the organization's values and mission.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.

Proficiency in accounting software systems, including QuickBooks and Salesforce.

Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and credit card transaction management.

Proven experience in auditing processes and annual budget preparation.

Ability to develop and manage financial policies and procedures in compliance with nonprofit regulations.

Exceptional skills in financial forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and budget management.

Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and mentoring finance teams.
