Overview: Provides research support in a laboratory setting under the direction of Professor Bill Arnold. Job Duties: 90% Lab Activities Exploring the reactions of fluorinated pesticides and fluorinated pharmaceuticals Mass balances on fluorine will be determined using fluorine nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Binding of fluorinated byproducts to proteins would also be measured. The person will need to follow all appropriate laboratory safety protocols. 10% Adhoc duties as assigned All other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Qualifications: Has chemistry coursework/lab experience Preferred Qualifications: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Patience, dedication, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
