The Boeing Company is seeking a Property Accountant Team Lead in Renton, Washington. As a finance and accounting professional, you will play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and innovative solutions for the world's leading aerospace company.
As a Property Accountant Team Lead , you will:
Oversee and consult on the research, preparation, data validation, review, approval and reconciliation of highly complex financial statements and reports
Direct the analysis and mitigation of compliance risk/errors of a complex nature
Oversee the analysis and interpretation of highly complex directives, policies and regulatory requirements to provide expert guidance on new and existing accounting issues including the writing, editing and approving of white papers on accounting issues
Oversee the identification and communication of cost collection requirements and develop, implement and maintain cost accounting structure/systems, tools, data and related realignment activities
Consult on the research, development and deployment of highly complex changes to current and emergent accounting tools and processes
Position Responsibilities:
Act as an escalation focal for internal team members and contractor questions involving Property Accounting topics.
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support for Property Accounting questions from outside sources including senior leadership.
Act as a liaison between the Property Accounting team and other finance teams including Financial Accounting, Enterprise Capital, Tax, Cost Policy, etc. to support projects, questions, issues, etc.
Oversee the Property Accounting team monthly/quarterly/annual closing processes.
Review/approve monthly reports/transactions from suppliers and contractors
Provide oversight on significant real property capitalizations
Review the work prepared by Property Accountants which includes year-end Federal Tax forecasts, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) schedules, etc.
Oversee the performance of audits involving external government auditors e.g. Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and internal auditors.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
10+ years of experience in accounting or finance experience
5+ years of experience in Enterprise Accounting System (EAS)
5+ years of experience leading a team or a project
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
5+ years of work experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master's degree and 8+ years of accounting or finance experience
Experience in government accounting
Strong analytical skills and the ability to lead others
Strong team player with intellectual curiosity and learning agility
Strong communication skills to convey accounting and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical teams, including executive leadership and external government auditors

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $126,650 - $171,350
