Small Pick in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Job Description:

Join a dynamic team responsible for preparing customer orders for pick-up, unloading and loading transfer trucks, and maintaining a well-stocked and orderly warehouse. This role is crucial to ensuring that the branch continues to be the electrical distributor of choice in the area. Candidates must have experience with automated systems.

Responsibilities:

Prepare customer orders for pick-up efficiently and accurately.

Unload and load transfer trucks as needed.

Check in materials properly to ensure accurate inventory management.

Maintain the warehouse in an orderly fashion to support operational efficiency.

Essential Skills:

Experience with automated systems.

Proficiency in using RF scanners and hand-held scanners.

Knowledge of warehouse operations and electrical parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in pick/packing and general labor is preferred.

Ability to reliably perform tasks without the use of heavy equipment.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a fast-paced, large warehouse spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors. The warehouse is organized by racks and includes a wire room section. Employees should be prepared for a dynamic and bustling setting.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
