Primary Purpose
The Manager, Trailer Operations is a key operational leader responsible for driving the success of the trailer rental line of business across United Site Services. This role oversees daily field operations, strategic planning, fleet readiness, and process improvement to ensure service excellence, compliance, and profitability. The Manager will partner closely with branch and regional leadership to deliver operational consistency, execute high-impact initiatives, and support long-term growth in a matrixed environment.
Essential Functions
Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies to enhance efficiency, improve service delivery, and support overall business objectives.
Oversee repair and make-ready operations, rental fleet readiness, and the implementation of standardized procedures across all locations.
Collaborate with regional and branch leadership to align staffing, training, and equipment resources with local and regional demand.
Identify operational inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
Implement and manage technologies or systems that support automation, analytics, and data driven decision-making.
Lead initiatives focused on enhancing customer experience, including service responsiveness, equipment reliability, and overall service quality.
Define and monitor service level expectations and establish key performance metrics to track operational performance.
Ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment to maximize fleet uptime and availability.
Monitor parts usage, manage returns, and maintain efficient restocking processes to prevent service delays.
Confirm all equipment meets safety and operational standards before being returned to the rental fleet.
Maintain accurate service records and monitor trends in equipment performance and repairs.
Track and report on KPIs related to fleet readiness, turnaround time, and maintenance costs.
Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Travel of up to 40% required.
Perform other duties and projects as required.

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted
position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is
determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our
total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
Salary Range
$105,600.00/Yr. - $158,400.00/Yr. / hour
