Cost Accounting Manager

Description

Lead and manage all cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting. Develop and maintain accurate product costing models and ensure alignment with operational processes. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability. Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes. Support budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed cost analysis and insights. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost accounting. Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
