Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating automated production equipment during a 12-hour shift. This role involves inspecting the quality of products throughout the shift and working in a cleanroom environment, adhering to all personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. The operator will move and work around machines, exposed to various mechanical parts, and may assist with labeling and packaging products, ensuring all labels are correct. Recording data consistently during the shift and cross-training in departments and on various parts of the machines are essential aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

Operate automated production equipment during a 12-hour shift.

Inspect product quality throughout the shift.

Adhere to cleanroom environment protocols and PPE requirements.

Assist with labeling and packaging products, ensuring accuracy.

Record data consistently during shifts.

Cross-train in different departments and machine parts.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in machine operation and general production.

Ability to inspect and assemble products.

Experience in packaging and machine operation.

6+ months of warehouse/manufacturing experience.

Basic computer experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to stand for a 12-hour shift.

Effective communication skills.

Completion of comprehension test.

Work Environment

The work environment is a cleanroom @type for production, with a clean and temperature-controlled warehouse. Employees must follow GMP procedures and wear steel toe shoes in the warehouse. This fast-paced production environment requires working a 12-hour rotating shift, with A/C shifts from 6am-6pm and B/D shifts from 6pm-6am. Employees must have the ability to use computers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
