Job Description:
We are seeking twoData Specialiststo support ongoing criminal
prosecutions. These positions are responsible for supporting the
eDiscovery needs of attorneys and support staff, as well as implementing
the USAO's best practices related to Discovery and data workflow.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Knowledge of information resources and file @types.
Experience in managing multiple tasks such as earlycase assessment,
ESI collection, processing, review, analysis, production of ESI and
other documents, and advising litigation teams on discovery
obligations, litigation decisions, trial preparation, and trial
presentation.
Understanding of the litigation lifecycle andelectronic
discovery/document reviewprocesses, procedures, and practices.
Experience performing Administrator and Case Manager functions in
Relativity.
Experience with providing end-user support on all Litigation Support
applications, including assisting with end-user training.
Proficiency with variouseDiscoveryandAutomated Legal Support
software, including but not limited to:NUIX, Cloud Nine Law
PreDiscovery, IPRO eScanIt and Eclipse SE, LexisNexis CaseMap,
TimeMap, Relativity, Concordance, Beyond Compare, and similar
software for the collection, analysis, processing, review, and
production of eDiscovery materials.
Ability to create, convert, organize, and extract information from
various sources (e.g., searchable PDF portfolios from paper/native
files using Adobe, inputting and organizing files into Relativity,
Eclipse SE, CaseMap, or other litigation support software, inputting
native email files with metadata into eDiscovery programs,
transferring ESI between programs).
Ability to create logs, reports, or summaries using eDiscovery
software.
Experience conducting document searches using advanced artificial
intelligence tools.
Requirements:
Provide consulting services to litigation teams on early case
assessment, ESI collection, processing, review, analysis, and
production.
Advise on the use of Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools and
compliance with discovery obligations, litigation decisions, trial
preparation, and trial presentation
Perform hands-on file manipulation, loading, and conversion services
for electronically stored information (ESI), ensuring proper
organization and integrity of ESI, and assisting with evidence
presentation at trials and hearings.
Education:
Bachelor's degree OR three years of additional, directly relevant
work experience (over and above the minimum experience requirements
for this5 position) may be substituted for the bachelor's degree.
3+ years of experience in a litigation support, electronic
discovery, and/or technology support environment, preferably within
the Government, a law firm, or a top eDiscovery vendor.
Experience with eDiscovery technical experience in compiling,
analyzing, and synthesizing information to support project task
requirements.
