Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Markets Strategy (Strategy & Planning Director) in Corporate and Investment banking to primarily focus on our Markets business. This role will be part of the CIB Strategy and Transformation leadership team, and help drive the overall strategic direction of the business. In this role, you will:
Develop Markets' strategic priorities and management of inter-dependencies
Integrate with other strategic efforts across CIB and Wells Fargo
Review and analyze business, operational, or technical issues / challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
Resolve complex issues to provide transparency and status for Executive Leadership
Lead a team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult closely with Markets management as well as enterprise partners in Finance and Human Resources
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Strategy and Planning experience or equivalent demonstrated experience through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of increasing responsibility in senior leadership positions with strong business strategic planning experience for corporate & investment banking line of business
Knowledge and understanding of CIB lines of businesses, especially with Markets / Sales & Trading businesses (Equities, Credit, Structured Products, Foreign Exchange, Rates)
Demonstrated experience with consulting toolkit and broad range of analytical tools and problem-solving approaches
Strong client management and executive-level communication skills
Track record of demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
MBA or an advanced business degree from a top-tier program
Experience analyzing revenue drivers, risk exposure, and market trends globally
Experience executing large research projects on complex topics with clear deliverables and recommendations
Ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions
Serve as a thought leader in topics that improve the overall franchise, including strategies to drive revenue, improve efficiency, create leverage and scale, and increase process and metrics that drive behavioral change
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, communicate ideas and results effectively, and drive consensus throughout the organization
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment and act with urgency when supporting leadership requests
Ability to lead projects from inception to execution with minimal oversight.
Knowledgeable and/or experienced in the operations of an investment bank with the ability to deliver ideas and drive operational performance
Experienced in change management
Job Expectations:
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
Ability to work outside of regular business hours
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
