Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a well-established construction company located in Brea, California. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to lead accounting operations, oversee a collaborative team, and contribute to the financial success of a growing organization. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for process improvement.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage monthly and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and external financial regulations.

Reconcile financial statements and general ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies as needed.

Collaborate with operations teams, project managers, and other departments to provide financial insights and support.

Identify and resolve accounting issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.

Lead, train, and mentor accounting staff to foster growth and enhance team performance.

Participate in tax-related activities and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.

Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong foundation in technical accounting principles and practices.

Previous experience in the construction, heavy civil, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

Proficiency with accounting systems such as JD Edwards, Sage, or Power BI.

Exceptional analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.

A stable work history that reflects long-term commitments and growth.
