Job Description:
GDIT is seeking a Sr Project Analyst to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will cover project analysis, systems engineering and technical analysis on multiple Bell Helicopter platform aircraft systems and projects from aircraft modifications, overhauls and commercial products installations.
How the Sr. Project Analyst will make an impact:
Serve as a technical POC for incoming and outgoing technical tasks associated with international efforts for all Bell products.
Responsible for interfacing with the staff within the Bell APD office and International Tech Division to ensure all RFI's and other issues are properly addressed.
Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
Assesses project technical issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and objectives.
Participate as a member of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) ensuring application of systems and airworthiness principles through aircraft lifecycle phases.
POC within the International Technical Management Division supporting the Bell products tasked with responding to technical issues assigned within the organization. Tasks can be related to any aspect of an aviation platform, to include hardware, software, functionality, interoperability, navigation, communication, survivability, safety, RAM, Mission Equipment and performance.
Complete technical reviews of documentation, which may include Performance Work Statements (PWS), modifications, drawings, CDRLs, AWRs, system and subsystem assessments and descriptions.
Interact as necessary with international customers to ensure RFI's are understood.
Travel as necessary to programmatic meetings and other events such as testing, or field investigations whenever deemed necessary by leadership.
Support technical meetings, such as SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs and TIMs.
Support meetings and planning sessions with all program stakeholders associated with the development and presentation of technical topics of the international customers.
Quickly inform technical leadership of any problems or issues in developing responses.
Communicate effectively with all internal staff and external organizations, both government and contractor, in executing all tasks.
What you'll need to be successful:
BS in an Engineering discipline and 8 yrs related aviation engineering experience, or 10 yrs of relative experience in aircraft platforms.Experience can be substituted for education.
FAA Airframe and Powerplant license or military helicopter pilot experience is a plus.
Knowledgeable of army aviation airworthiness, integration and qualification requirements, standards and processes, with experience in supporting discussions and meetings in those areas, along with reviewing associated documentation.
An active Secret clearance is required for this position.
This position may require OCONUS travel.
Experience in US ARMY program office is highly desired, to include PM ASE, PM Cargo, PM Utility, PM Apache.
Fundamental understanding of rotor aircraft dynamics and controls, flight mechanics, aerodynamics and propulsion are a plus.
Experience with Aircraft ; Bell 206, OH-58/D, Bell IA407,407GX, 412EPX, 429,505, UH-1H Huey II aircraft highly desired.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
