We are seeking a skilled Network Analyst to join our team, responsible for supporting, implementing, and maintaining our Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) infrastructure. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation and support of MNIT and customer infrastructures connecting to MNET wide area network services. You will independently manage tasks related to problem service restoration, network design, documentation, and configuration efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a dynamic network environment and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our network services.
This position requires an employee to be onsite at 600 N. Robert St, St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location .

This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience performing wide area networking design, automation, and management.
Experience must include:
BGP, MPLS, OSPF, TCP/IP network protocols, functions, and operations, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting router/switch networks, particularly Cisco products.
Analyzing and diagnosing network problems using network test equipment such as Sniffers and protocol analyzers.
WAN/LAN/WLAN protocols and software, along with WAN/LAN/WLAN troubleshooting processes.
Network performance monitoring systems and managing network equipment, including routers, gateways, and switches.
Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.
A master's degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor's degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate's degree substitutes for one (1) year.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years experience in BGP & MPLS networks, with the ability to implement and troubleshoot complex network configurations.
Service Provider Networking, SDWAN and cloud networking for Azure, Oracle, and AWS
Experience with network management systems such as Cisco Catalyst Center and other SNMP-based systems.
Understanding of network operations and performance monitoring systems.
Experience with data communication protocols and network equipment.
Familiarity with fiber optic transport systems such as DWDM.
