Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic Engineering Department as a Senior Electrical Engineer, where you will collaborate with a talented, multi-discipline design and engineering team focused on the industrial manufacturing market. You will be instrumental in providing innovative electrical engineering solutions for projects spanning the United States, overseeing the complete project lifecycle from technical studies through to constructability reviews.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer power distribution systems based on the National Electrical Code and client specifications.

Develop facility lighting systems designs and engineering.

Engineer grounding systems and power panel schedules.

Design motor control systems and process control panels.

Create process instrumentation wiring diagrams.

Effectively communicate and document with project teams, external stakeholders, and other engineering departments.

Review and analyze project requirements, codes, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations and client specifications.

Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.

Prepare proposals and fee estimates.

Serve as a technical lead engineer in the quality review process of work products developed by others and coordinate the work of other engineering disciplines into final design deliverables.

Train and mentor early-career engineering employees.

Provide support for construction projects, including cost estimating, construction phasing/scheduling, site inspections, punch list development, and review of shop drawings.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience.

Professional Engineering (PE) license or desire to pursue PE licensure.

Expertise in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and chemical plants.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Experience with engineering calculations utilizing computer modeling software.

Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Practical experience with Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP.

Experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Electrical design and schematic experience.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying advanced engineering techniques.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $67.30/hr.
