Summary: The Finance Supervisor is responsible for assisting with operations, profitability, performance results, department supervision, and customer satisfaction in the Finance and Insurance department. Supervises Financial Services Producers. The Finance Supervisor works with lenders and financial institutions to provide financial services to dealership customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Assists with the sale of financing and insurance to customers.
Works towards improving sales and operations in the department.
Reviews profitability to dealership of financing arrangements.
Provides input to upper management and Human Resources to make hiring and discipline decisions.
Trains and supervises Financial Services Producers.
Ensures Financial Services Producers are AFIP Certified.
Ensures Financial Services Producers are utilizing the menu selling process.
Oversees completion and submission of all financing documents; and, ensures Financial Services Producers are using a deal checklist.
Works closely with sales and finance team, maintains effective employee relations
Monitors departmental compliance with lending laws and regulations
Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
Participates in required training
Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

Advanced sales skills, prior supervisory experience preferred. Working knowledge of automotive sales industry.
Certificates and Licenses:
v Valid Driver's License
o Automobile Salesperson License
Computer Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Intermediate ability and knowledge of the Finance and Insurance portion of the Dealership Management System.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed primarily in finance and insurance and sales areas. Considerable time spent on the phone and at a computer. Work involves frequent customer contact and interaction with lending institutions
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Knowledge of bank and insurance terminology and procedures. Ability to review and process sales contracts and finance documents. Ability to work with lenders and financial institutions. Knowledge of regulations and laws governing financing in the automotive industry.
