Our team is looking for a software engineer that is in the early stages of their career and has basic experience developing software applications that can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the space community as a member of Parsons' Space Operations Directorate. You will work with software engineers and space analysts to create space domain awareness solutions for the space stakeholder community.

Required Skills

Understanding of designing, developing, and supporting software applications

Web-based user interface development (e.g., HTML, CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, AJAX)

Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design techniques

Knowledge and understanding of software development lifecycles

Knowledge of web services and/or software programming interfaces (APIs)

Experience with Source Code Management (SCM) tools (e.g. Subversion, Maven, Git)

Strong interpersonal and communications skills in both spoken and written English

Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly

Must be a US Citizen

Desired Skills

Spring/Spring Boot framework development

Natural Language Processing (spaCy, Gensim, TextBlob)

Semantic Web Development (SPARQL, RDF, OWL)

Experience working with web service data formats (e.g., JSON, JSON-P, XML)

Linux platform development and operational environments

Experience developing software in the space domain

Security+ certification

Active or ability to obtain Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00
