Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our Market Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative background and financial experience within the insurance industry, familiarity with liabilities and derivatives.
What You'll Do:
Utilize, develop, enhance and implement quantitative models to assess market risks, including interest rate, equity, spread and other risks.
Create and maintain risk dashboards and reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
Perform stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolios resilience of defeasance of liabilities under adverse market conditions
Utilize AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Chat GBT) to develop models and analysis used for market risk measurement and management
Collaborate with various departments, including investments, actuarial, and finance, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management
Continuously improving the market risk management framework, including setting risk limits, thresholds, analysis and reporting
Assess model assumptions and results that are produced for assets and liabilities
Assess the impact of changes in inforce, actuarial model assumptions, and rates
Assess derivatives programs across risks (e.g. interest rate, equity, foreign exchange, etc.)
Analyze asset and liability component cash flows and assess component-level interest rate risk
Maintain and enhance market risk reporting that captures asset and liability risk attribution, performance attribution, risk profile, hedging, etc
Conduct risk assessments and quantitative analyses to identify, measure, and monitor market risks, including interest rate, equity, spread, and other risks.
Perform attribution, shock, and cash flow analysis for market risk metrics
Perform reporting for market risk rating agency requests
Continue streamlining processes and support continuing automation efforts for market risk analytics
Evaluate risk allocation utilizing metrics such as VaR, Economic Surplus, BU support, etc.
Perform research and provide insights into market risk metrics
Monitor risk exposures, assess risk mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Stay abreast of industry developments and continuously improve risk management methodologies and processes.
What You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA or FRM) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of quantitative financial experience, preferably within the insurance industry with actuarial and derivatives knowledge.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantitative modeling, statistical analysis and related tools. Experience with AI tools, programming languages such as Python, R, or similar languages is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
