Job Title: Order Picker

Job Description

As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for picking, issuing, receiving, and transferring products to maintain accurate inventory levels. You will utilize RF scanners and stickers to confirm product locations and quantities, ensuring customer-specific orders are correctly identified. The role involves building up to two full pallets per pass through the warehouse, maintaining established work standards, and ensuring all operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Pick, issue, receive, and transfer products to maintain accurate inventory.

Use RF scanners and stickers to confirm product locations and quantities.

Apply stickers to cases for customer-specific order identification.

Build up to two full pallets per pass through the warehouse.

Maintain established work standards for order picking.

Safely operate manual and powered equipment, including pallet jacks.

Load and unload products efficiently and safely.

Inspect product and packaging for quality prior to shipping.

Review orders for accuracy before shipment.

Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Experience with forklift operation.

Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks.

Proficient in order picking and labeling.

Experience with pallet jack operation or the ability to learn riding an 8-foot pallet jack.

Ability to follow a numerically slotted system for product picking.

Proficient in using RF scanners to scan locations and confirm quantities.

Capable of handling up to two full pallets per picking cycle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Physically demanding: Ability to lift 50 lb cases and pick 3,000-6,000 cases/night of liquor and wine.

Forklift experience is required.

Experience with an 8-foot riding pallet jack is preferred.

Proficiency with RF scanners.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and can become hot during the summer. The standard hours are Monday through Thursday, 5 PM to 3 AM, although shift end times can vary based on the number of orders that need to be picked.

This is a Contract position based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
