Electrical Engineer - Nuclear

This is a remote role with travel 6-10x per month to the site in Pennsylvania.

We are actively hiring an Electrical Engineer to support Electrical Design Engineering Projects for Nuclear Facilities. This engineer will work with a dynamic, cross-functional team to support modifications on existing Power Generation Facilities and Plant Electrical Systems for leading Energy Providers across the United States. This role offers the opportunity to engage in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment, while providing support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with relevant experience to work with some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry while making a significant impact in their field.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, preparation, and integration of major electrical power equipment.

Prepare engineering calculations and electrical control circuit designs.

Perform tests and research problems through various sources of technical information.

Design or modify components and determine the intent of a specification or instruction.

Make recommendations on the acceptability of materials supplied and work completed by contractors.

Provide support to engineering teams on a variety of client projects.

Occasional travel to client offices, vendor offices, and plant sites as needed and/or interested.

Instrumentation Upgrades and Modifications for Nuclear Power Plants

General Modifications and Upgrades to existing equipment and facilities

Essential Skills

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university

1 to 7 years of Instrumentation & Controls experience on Nuclear or Power Plant projects

Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD Software

Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with ability to quickly learn new concepts

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
