Shifts available:

2nd shift Monday through Friday 2pm-10:30pm

3rd shift Sunday through Friday 10pm-6:30am

Pay rate: $30/hour to start

Job Description

The Industrial Blaster will collaborate in teams of 2-3 within the blast room, engaging in activities essential to the sandblasting operation. This role involves preparing parts as per work orders, understanding product requirements through prints, and handling materials ranging from 40 lbs to 1,000 lbs using overhead cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize parts for the blast room according to work orders.

Read and comprehend prints to understand product specifications.

Rig materials to ensure safety and proper positioning.

Operate industrial sandblasting guns to apply specific media onto metal parts.

Move parts out of the blast facility and inspect them for quality assurance.

Perform maintenance on blast guns and equipment.

Clean the blast booth, ensuring it is swept and tidied accordingly.

Work Environment

The role is situated in a general manufacturing plant equipped with machines, tanks for plating, and paint/blast booth areas. The sandblast booth is fully enclosed, requiring personal protective equipment such as a full protective suit and a helmet with cool, fresh air pumped into it.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
