Job Title: Director, FP&A

Reports To: Vice President, FP&A

Location: Vernon Hills, IL

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:

This role will support our continued growth and value creation across our life sciences, diagnostics, and environmental testing businesses. This is a critical role within the finance team, responsible for leading company-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analytics. The Director will collaborate closely with senior leaders across the organization to deliver financial insights that guide decision-making, optimize performance, and support strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and

annual forecasts and budgets across business units

Manage the preparation of monthly operating decks with key financial

metrics, trends, and performance insights for executive review

Oversee financial consolidations to ensure timely and accurate

reporting of company-wide performance

Prepare recurring reports and analysis for lenders and rating

agencies, ensuring consistency and clarity of financial messaging

Deliver actionable financial analysis to support decision-making

across departments

Develop and maintain robust financial models and tools to support

scenario planning, variance analysis, and forecasting accuracy

Identify and communicate key business drivers and performance trends

to senior leadership

Partner with the accounting team to ensure alignment between actuals

and forecasts, and to support the monthly close process

Continuously improve planning and reporting processes to enhance

efficiency, accuracy, and transparency

Education:

Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field

required

MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience:

1015 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 35

years in FP&A or similar analytical leadership role

Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive

Insights, Power BI) preferred

Qualifications:

Proven success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; experience in

life sciences, manufacturing, or industrial sectors strongly preferred

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; advanced Excel

proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, scenario modeling, etc.)

Solid understanding of corporate finance principles, budgeting,

forecasting, and financial statement analysis

Track record of working effectively with senior leadership and

cross-functional teams

Strong business acumen and communication skills; ability to

synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights

Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple

priorities

Proficient in standard computer applications, with excellent skills

in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Access. Must be able to obtain, manipulate and analyze data and effectively compile them and present them into reports or presentations.

Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently

works under pressure, within deadlines or other essential time constraints.

Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing

and growing organization.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: \$150k-\$200k, depending on location, experience, and

qualifications.
