Description: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an entry level Ordnance Assembler to join our team in Courtland, AL ! We are seeking a detail-oriented individual possessing excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment to perform a variety of assembly operations and use various tools and equipment to manufacture and assemble ordnance components.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform assembly operations, including:
Cutting materials to proper length and preparing sleeving and detonation cords
Mixing and applying potting compounds
Trimming and surfacing molded surfaces
Measuring and loading charge caps
Assembling parts into completed assemblies using tooling when required
Weigh, mix, and apply adhesives to metal and non-metal surfaces
Set up and operate a variety of semiautomatic machines, including:
Laser welders
Presses
Strippers
Crimpers
Drills
Stampers
Cutters
Hydrostats
Curing equipment
Perform rework of the same level of difficulty as other work described
Use a range of tools, including:
Knives
Torque wrenches
Diagonals
Tweezers
Simple measuring devices
Potting gun
Basic Qualifications:
Successful completion of the AIDT program
Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
Basic math skills, including measurement and calculation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Must be a US citizen; this facility requires special access
Desired Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively. Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel and email. Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to read blueprints.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
