Description We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in Framingham, Massachusetts. This role focuses primarily on litigation, including breach of contract cases, shareholder disputes, and 93A matters, with an emphasis on serving small businesses and closely-held clients. If you excel in research, drafting, and superior court litigation, this opportunity provides a dynamic environment to make an impact.

Responsibilities:

Handle a variety of litigation cases, including breach of contract matters, shareholder disputes, and 93A claims.

Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and court filings.

Draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Represent clients in superior court litigation proceedings, ensuring effective advocacy.

Collaborate with clients, primarily small businesses, to understand their legal needs and provide tailored solutions.

Manage case files using document and case management software.

Assist with some probate and estate planning matters as needed.

Analyze complex business litigation issues and provide strategic recommendations.

Ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines throughout all case processes.

Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution efforts when applicable. Requirements - Proven experience in civil litigation, including superior court cases.

Strong knowledge of breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and 93A matters.

Exceptional research and drafting skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with case management and document management software.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases effectively.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and court personnel.

Background in probate and estate planning is a plus but not required.

Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in good standing.
