TekSystems is currently hiring for several Medical Office Assistants in the Frederick area!

MUST HAVE: 2-3 years of medical administrative experience, or any healthcare experience that is relatable!

Description

Frederick office Cardiology Office

2 MOAs

Majority of responsibility will be entering information into patient charts.

Going through the paper charts, abstracting the information and putting into the patients chart in Medconnect.

Live patient abstraction, doing a little H/W/V updates.

Supports other members of the clinical care team, assuring optimal best-practice patient flow; manages variable and unpredictable patient volume throughout the workday.

Conducts surveillance for transitions of care, urgent/emergent care, or follow up tasks such as retrieval of documents associated with referrals/testing.

2 PRA's

They will scan all of the patient paper charts into the records on MedConnect.

Pure basic PRA/Scanner/Customer service

Manages the intake of patients into the practice, screens for emergent conditions, registers, verifies insurance and explains patient responsibility regarding payment for services and co-pays. (if needed)

Ensures appropriate and timely status assignment of all appointments.

Answers the telephone in accordance with the policy and service expectations, provides telephone triage; disseminates messages appropriately utilizing available technology and prioritizes calls appropriately and timely.

Prepares, updates, and copies forms, reports, and records on a routine basis; scans, imports, and indexes regularly to keep information flowing into patients' medical record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school degree

Strong Customer Service and patient experience

1 + years experience with healthcare, understanding terminology and insurance verification

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
