About the Job
Reporting to the Senior Vice President & General Counsel of North America, the Senior Paralegal will provide paralegal and certain administrative support to all attorneys within the Legal Department.
Job Responsibilities

Draft, review, and revise non-disclosure, vendor, service, and commercial agreements and other legal and corporate documents under the direction and supervision of attorneys.
Draft, review, and prepare contract templates.
Draft, review, and revise legal presentations, training materials, and other legal documents.
Research and analyze statutes, regulations and other legal resources.
Gather information and conduct research relative to legal issues under the direction and supervision of attorneys.
Maintain electronic records database and physical files for all correspondence, business contracts and agreements and litigations.
Ensure contract database tracker (Excel worksheet) and relevant contracts are complete and up-to-date.
Interface and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on agreements, as needed.
Serve as custodian of Legal Department records.
Lead and manage the collection of required information and data for transparency reporting.
Draft, file and maintain Legal Department documents and Board of Director resolutions, agendas, minutes, and other documents.
Assist in process improvement and resource development to meet current and future needs of Legal Department.
Collaborate regularly with attorneys and internal stakeholders for assigned projects to find solutions to routine legal issues.
Attend Legal Department and cross functional team meetings and draft meeting minutes.
Provide administrative support to attorneys in the Legal Department and to the Board of Directors, such as scheduling meetings, arranging travel, preparing expense reports, preparing meeting minutes, drafting correspondence, tracking legal training and other organizational tasks, obtaining documents and signatures, and other tasks as needed.
Act as subject matter expert for current e-billing system.
Proactively manage all invoices for compliance with outside counsel guidelines and approve invoices pertaining to legal matters and litigations, checking for accuracy, cost center coding, and cost containment, and ensure invoices are approved and paid on time.
Prepare budget status reports monthly or as needed, pertaining to outside counsel/vendor expenses; analyze actual and projected costs vs. budgeted amounts, including breakdown of costs by product, vendor, and other applicable categories.
Prepare ad hoc budget reports as needed (e.g., spend for a particular vendor for a particular time frame).
Notarize documents.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor-s degree required; Bachelor-s degree related to law preferred.
Paralegal Certificate from accredited ABA-Approved Program preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in paralegal duties in a corporate legal department or law firm, including knowledge of contract review, litigation, case management, and invoice billing guidelines
Minimum of 5 years of experience with a paralegal certificate will be considered.
Knowledge and Skills
Prior pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of contracting and legal procedures, particularly related to pharmaceutical contracts and nondisclosure agreements.
Strong knowledge of U.S. litigation process, including eDiscovery.
Knowledge of data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to efficiently complete tasks and assignments.
High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and professionalism with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear, concise, and logical writing style required to effectively gather relevant information from stakeholders and negotiate both internally and externally.
Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities and sense of accountability.
Demonstrated commitment to quality and proven ability to work as part of a team.
Notary Public, or ability to become a Notary Public.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Ability to learn new systems as needed.
Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
Proficiency with e-billing programs, SAP and Concur preferred.

The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
The incumbent is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range - $90,000 - 115,000
The compensation range provided reflects the expected base compensation only and does not include potential bonuses, incentive plans, or benefits. An individual-s final compensation offer will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education level, relevant experience, training, and geographic location.
