Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support production and calibration equipment within Bloomington production operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing equipment performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. The intern will ensure compliance with regulatory and validation requirements, support audit-related action plans, and assist in equipment and process validation efforts. Additionally, this role will contribute to documentation activities, including work instruction updates, Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), and Deviation creation.

Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on new equipment implementation, validation activities, and improvements to existing equipment.
Support validation processes, including protocol execution, data collection, and documentation to ensure equipment and processes meet regulatory standards.
Drive equipment improvement projects and initiatives that support cost efficiency, quality, delivery, and safety objectives.
Update and maintain work instructions, ensuring alignment with current processes and compliance requirements.
Assist in the creation and execution of Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs) and Deviations, ensuring proper documentation and process adherence.
Participate in audit preparation, CAPA investigations, and compliance-related initiatives.
Proactively identify technical and professional development opportunities, fostering continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports.
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
Required Education (if necessary):
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data analytics, industrial/supply chain engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research or other related field from an accredited four-year college or university
Internship Duration: 6 months
Job Location: Bloomington, MN (through Spring 2025); Shakopee, MN (Summer 2025 - forward)
Working Environment:
Office and manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work on PC's/monitors for long periods of time
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full time position during normal business hours.

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range from $23.00 - $26.00. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
