Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Norton, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are skilled in handling financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The position requires in-office attendance five days a week.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify invoices for accuracy and approval before payment.

Manage accounts payable transactions, including ACH payments and check disbursements.

Ensure timely entry of invoices into the accounting system.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies effectively.

Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial records.

Monitor accounts payable aging reports and address overdue accounts.

Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Support month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues or inquiries.

Contribute to process improvements for accounts payable workflows. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

Proficiency in processing invoices and managing ACH payments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.

Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

Effective communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and procedures.

Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus.
