We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to lead the Innovation portfolio for Outage & Field Services. This position will focus on coordinating the development of new technology across all functional aeras within OFS and lead to coordinated effort to ensure Westinghouse remains an industry leader by driving solutions to market.
The Innovation Program Manager will have a multi-functional role responsible for building an optimized implementation strategy around innovation funding and overseeing project progress to increase speed to market.
Innovation Program Coordination:
Develop annual innovation plan
Down select submitted ideas for approval
Review ROIs for acceptability and long-term value and alignment with business objectives
Drive for Results:
Develop standardized processes to track project status, ensure project leaders are meeting commitments and scheduled deliverables.
Track project budgets, ensure projects are staying within the approved scope of work
Provide guidance to other PMs supporting strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with processes and appropriate progress
Drive to Market:
Oversee go to market strategies align with business needs
Engage on critical issues as needed to augment project management team
May require extended or off-normal hour support based upon the nature of critical issues
Keep Executive team engaged on program status and needs to redirect funding or termination of project.
This critically important role requires strong oversight of financial, strategic, technical, and resource commitments with ultimate accountability to deliver Innovation in a safe, high-quality, profitable manner, leading to stakeholder satisfaction.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure safety and quality are the primary focus on all project activities
Improve and lead Innovation portfolio delivery across OFS
Develop and lead a robust process to support the development of new technologies
Own select critical issues and drive to closure while reporting accordingly at various levels
Ensure strategic initiatives are properly staffed, managed, and tracked accordingly to ensure progress
Own select strategic initiatives
Ensure schedule and financial commitments are tracked and attained with a focus on risk and opportunity management
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree required, Engineering preferred
Business or Project Management degrees will be considered
MBA or advanced degree preferred
5 years of progressive experience in leading large, complex technology projects in the nuclear industry
10-12 years of experience strongly preferred
Technical leadership experience may be considered in lieu of direct project management experience
10-12 years of progressive, combined technical and/or project experience on complex technical applications strongly preferred
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired
Westinghouse Advanced Project Manager or Program Manager qualification desired
The successful candidate will be required to complete the Program Manager qualification within a designated time
Exemptions may be provided based on prior training and work experience
Understanding of nuclear tooling, applications, and processes
Demonstrated accountability for results while working in a highly independent lead position
Ability to think outside the box to solve problems, navigate uncertainty, and drive resolution of issues
Effective presentation skills, strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and high emotional intelligence
Experience withSAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools, and Active Risk Manager is desired
Some travel (estimate to be up to 10%) may be required for this position to customer sites, vendor facilities, or various Westinghouse facilities outside the home office
Willingness to work in a hybrid (in office a minimum 2-days per week on average) or on-site in Waltz Mill, PA
Willingness to support outside of typical hours (nights, weekends) occasionally to support critical issues emerging at customer sites
