More about the role We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Engineering Team in Eden Prairie, MN. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing firmware for our microcontroller-based lighting controllers. More about the role Design, develop, and optimize firmware for microcontroller-based systems. Write and maintain efficient, reliable, and reusable code in C/C++ and assembly languages. Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components. Develop and execute test plans to validate firmware functionality and performance. Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues, providing timely resolutions. Implement communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and others as required. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Document firmware design, development processes, and testing procedures. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve firmware development practices. More about you Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other technical field, from an accredited institution. 5+ years of experience in firmware development for microcontrollers Proficient in C/C++ and able to understand Assembly programming languages. Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems, memory mapping, I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PWM, RS485, and ModBus. Experience debugging real-time issues using IDEs, debuggers, multimeters, and oscilloscopes *Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.
