What You Can Expect
The Project Manager has the responsibility of managing the details of the assigned project plan (i.e., project planning and management, configuration planning and execution, testing and validation, and go live planning and support) under the leadership and governance of the Project Management Office (PMO). This role will utilize strong project, task, and resource management experiences and skills to assist the organization in achieving its goals of executing projects on time, on budget, and within scope. In performing these responsibilities, this position will work closely with business leaders and project leaders to assess and track the various activities and resources required in project management.
The position will utilize various project management solutions to develop, monitor, and communicate to the head of the PMO and business leaders. This role will also provide a framework for project leaders to use in intializing new projects within the PMO structure and processes.
The Project Manager will lead and perform all phases of project management activities including scope management, requirements definition and analysis, technical development, testing, validation, communication management, risk management, progress reporting, and budget and resource management.
The Project Manager will provide training as appropriate to project participants and business partners regarding the use of various tools utilized and required by the PMO.
The position carries responsibility for ensuring that projects plans and execution support Zimmer Biomet's strategic plans, activities and objectives while maintaining the highest level of ethics and compliance.
How You'll Create Impact
Lead and provide project management capability for implementation of small to large scale solutions through the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, the organization of project implementation teams, the establishment of and adherence to project budget management, and the effective and timely execution of projects
Develop and maintain the Master Project Plan and Schedule
Responsible for the achievement of project milestones and metrics. Responsible for ensuring governance and compliance of the PMO methodology and related objectives
Drive excellence of portfolio management by incorporating and supporting processes and tools that are used to identify, prioritize and select opportunities/ projects for optimal portfolio value and strategic alignment
Collect and analyze the performance of the projects by collecting data for key performance vi dashboards and other appropriate, efficient, and progressive methods
Lead and ensure the documentation and tracking of project reviews
Ensure proactive mitigation and escalation of concerns, risks, issues, project dependencies, scope change, project conflicts
Assist and coordinate change management activities
Provide consulting services and project management support to other functions and initiatives globally
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, IT, Human Resources, etc. to ensure effective business case development, establishment of and adherence to project budget, tracking of relevant project metrics, achievement of expected outcomes, adherence to quality assurance and and regulatory compliance requirements, creation of technical documentation, execution of testing activities, and the design and management of security both technological and otherwise
Act as a change agent for continuous improvement efforts that cross clients, sites, and processes
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree, MBA preferred) in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Minimum four years of related experience required
Commensurate combination of education and experience may be considered
Significant manufacturing operations experience required
Project management certification (such as PMP) or formal training strongly preferred
Six Sigma or Lead Sigma certification strongly preferred
Experience leading multiple cross-functional and inter-site project teams within operations with results-oriented performance
Proficient with project management software
Proficient in MS Office applications
Experience in medical device regulatory environment or another regulatory environment preferred
Travel Expectations
Typically, up to 20% ; Global travel may be required
