We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in a busy Oncology treatment center. Your role will involve scheduling patient visits, rooming patients, and working closely with Oncology patients. You will be responsible for taking patients' vitals and documenting them into our EMR system, Centricity.

Responsibilities

Schedule patients for visits and room them.

Work with Oncology patients and handle high patient volumes.

Take patient's vitals and document them into the EMR system, Centricity.

Clean treatment areas after patient visits and wipe down areas post-departure.

Check inventory for oxygen tanks, food supply, and medical equipment to be ordered.

Make phone calls to patients for follow-ups.

Essential Skills

2+ years of medical assisting experience (oncology is a plus but not* required)

Ability to handle high patient volumes and challenging situations.

Phlebotomy and medical assisting skills.

Ambulatory care experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A proactive attitude and willingness to help others.

Work Environment

The position is located in a busy treatment center where approximately 50 patients visit daily. You will primarily interact with Registered Nurses but also communicate with Certified Medical Assistants. Working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts. Employees enjoy full benefits, including medical, vision, and dental coverage and a 401k plan, Additionally, 10 paid holidays are offered during contract periods, including paid holidays off and the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
