THE POSITION
Are you eager to start a new chapter in your information technology (IT) career? Join the dedicated team at the Office of Administration, Enterprise Technology Services Office as an Information Technology Generalist 1. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide network connectivity support and end user support services to the Employment Banking and Revenue (EBR) Delivery Center physical offices and tele-work users. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a member of the Workstation Operations & Technical Services (WOTS) team, you will provide Wide Area Network (WAN) support, Local Area Network (LAN) support, and Desktop Support to the Employment Banking and Revenue Delivery Center's remote site locations and home users within the capitol area region. WOTS staff always perform work in the most cost-efficient manner for the EBR Delivery Center's various program areas. Work involves providing expertise in the installation and configuring of peripherals, NIC adapters, and cables. This includes assisting in hardware and software diagnostics to troubleshoot computer malfunctions and performing repairs and adjustments when needed. This professional maintains broad and advanced technical knowledge of computing hardware and software, data cabling, networking standards, capabilities, and trends. By keeping up with new technology, you will be tasked to make recommendations to department managers on the technological direction of the network infrastructure.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, work from home two days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services;or
One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
This particular position also requires two or more years of full-time professional experience in IT service desk support.
