What We're Doing

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System. protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team, is composed of many small agile teams working together dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading-edge missile defense technologies.

The Work

The C2BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a senior level software engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2BMC applications. Common responsibilities of a software engineer on the RA ART team include:

Design and develop new Java applications; Maintain existing Java applications

Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines

Mentor early career software engineers through development and testing

Drive software architecture decisions and strategy

Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a

related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined

education, with 9+ years of professional experience.

Must currently hold an ACTIVE DoD Final Secret

Security Clearance to be considered for this position.

Experience in full life cycle software development of

Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform

environment.

Experience developing software in a structured,

process-based integrated team environment.

Experience utilizing configuration management tools in

the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).

Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.

CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required within 60 days of starting

Desired Skills:

Strong JAVA development experience.

Missile defense domain experience.

Experience software performance optimization.

Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.

Experience in software behavior and performance analysis and testing.

Use of Eclipse, Maven, Gradle in software development.

Experience in mentoring more junior software engineers.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
