Job Description

A life sciences company in the San Gabriel Valley is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help build out their data science function from the ground up. This is a pivotal role supporting clinical research efforts as the company integrates advanced analytics into their operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating data science platforms or environments, preferably in a life sciences or clinical research setting. Proficiency in R or Python for data modeling and statistical analysis is essential. This role will be 7080% focused on development work, including designing and implementing data models, building data science infrastructure, and developing ETL processes using SSIS and SQL Server stored procedures. A strong understanding of Snowflake data warehouse architecture is also important, as the company is leveraging it as part of their modern data stack. They are looking for someone whos excited to take ownership of data science initiatives and contribute to meaningful advancements in healthcare.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of experience in building Data Science/Analytics models (using Python or R)

Proficient understanding of the Snowflake Data Warehouse Architecture

Experience with ETL processes for data from various sources and creating SQL Server database objects to support analytics

Experience writing SQL queries using T-SQL

Experience in writing and troubleshooting SQL Server stored procedures

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Experience in ETL development using SSIS or SQL Server stored procedures Experience in FDA regulated drug or healthcare companies desired.
