Salary Range: $156,000 to $234,000
*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Plan, direct, manage, supervise and coordinate administrative and operational tasks for the special systems engineering team. Manage development and implementation of engineering and construction projects of various @types and sizes. Strategize and participate in securing new projects and team development in coordination with other members of leadership.
Represent engineering team in leadership decisions
Support engineering activities and assign tasks
Establish and maintain standards, procedures and metrics for engineering documents and team processes
Oversee engineering design QA/QC process
Foster collaborative work environment
Review project and design documents for adherence to codes and standards
Set project hourly budgets and timelines for completion
Create and maintain client relationships
Manage subcontracted teams as required
Assist in project pursuit efforts including proposals, interviews, market strategy implementation
Assist with resolution of engineering and design challenges
Coordinate with other members of leadership to improve and expand team
Select and evaluate potential engineering team members
Provide mentorship and support to engineering team members
Oversee and direct administrative support functions and activities of engineering team
Assess and monitor workload of engineering team, assigning team members as necessary
Recommend and implement training and education
Perform overall program or project manager duties as required
Develop and prepare engineering design drawings, specifications and other documents
Prepare and deliver presentations or reports on program/project goals, team status and projections
Stay informed on updates to codes/standards, new product releases, etc. and implement them where applicable
Attend site visits and client meetings where required
Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).
Job Complexity: Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in relevant field.
Experience: 10 years experience in special systems engineering.
Licensure/Certifications : RCDD certification a plus.
