Summary:
The Technical Marketing Manager is responsible for translating complex tehcnical capabilities into clear, compelling value propitions that resonate with customers. The role bridges the gap between sales, research and development, product managment, and marketing to ensure that technical strengths are effectively communicated through content, campaigns, and customer facing materials. The Technical Marketing Manager evangelizes voice -of customer, drives go to market strategies, suport product launches, and delivers technical collateral that positions the company as a leader in innovation and performance.
Position will be based out of our Bear, DE facility and will be supporting ourARLON products within our Elastomeric Material Solutions Division. After fully trained, this position will be elgible for a hybrid work arrangement which would be 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Essential Functions:
Develop Technical Marketing Content : Create high impact white papers, case studies, technical presentations, and application guides that highlight the performance, processing benefits, and unique properties of our productions.
Support Product Launches : Drive go to market efforts for new products by coordinating technical messaging, positioning, and collateral with product managment, R&D and sales.
Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver technical sales tools-performance comparisons, application matrices, value propositions, training decks, and competetive differentiation materials to suppor customer engagement and opportunity conversion.
Application & Market Analysis: Conduct detailed market and application research within key industries (e.g. automotive, electroncis, industrial, aereospace) to idenitfy opportunities, define technical positionsing, and support strategic iniitiatives.
Customer Focused Messaging: Translate complex product and performance characteristics into clear, customer centric messaing that aligns with regulatroy, environmental, and industry specific requirements.
Technical Liaison Role: Act as bridge between techncial teams (R&D, Applications Engineering) and commercial teams (Sales, Marketing) to ensure alignment on priorites, product capabilities, and customer needs.
Industry Engagement : Represent the company at trade shows, technical conferences, and customer meetings to communicate technical leadership, gather market intelligence and voice of customer.
Content Lifecycle Management: Maintain accuracy and relevance of all technical marketing content, ensuring it reflects the lates testing data, compliance updates ( e.g. REACH, RoHS) and formulation changes.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Marketing, Business or related technical field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
6+ years of experience in technical marketing, product management, applications engineering or technical sales within the speciality chemical or elastomer industry.
Proven track record of developing technical content and marketing tools taht influence customer decision making.
Experience in supporting product launches and go to market strategies in B2B, industrial market enivornment.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of specialisty chemicals, elastomeric materials and end use applications across industries such as automotive, electroncis, industrial , or aerospace
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpert technical data and market trends, and make data driven decisions.
Experience with data analysis tools ( e.g., Excel, Power Query, PowerBI, MiniTab)
Familarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS, ISO) impacting chemical and elastomer markets.
Marketing & Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor complext tehcnical concents for diverse audiences
Experience with digitual marketing tools, CRM systems, content managment platforms, and product lifecycle systems (e.g., SalesForce, Pardot, SAP)
Interpersonal & Leadership:
Strong project management and cross functional collaboration skills
Ability to influence without direct authority and manage multiple prirorites across departments.
Customer focused mindset with strategic results driven approach.
Travel:
Travel: 20-40% (domestic and international)
