Ensure that company controls, policies, procedures, processes, are understood and applied; supports in managing capacity by ensuring that the team is structured and organized, considering expected growth and volume spikes.
Oversee all aspects of warehouse staffing, including warehouse staffing capacity impacting the team.
Develop your number 2. Assist the manager in identifying talent.
Conduct daily huddles to promote teamwork and cohesiveness in the department.
Conduct individual check-ins for coaching and mentoring; provide and seek feedback.
Ensure all needs and tools required are available for the team to be successful in all areas.
Ensure coverage of operations with staff who have the appropriate certifications.
Oversee proper onboarding of new staff and continuous training of all employees within the team.
Support all Corridor TBP Employee Satisfaction initiatives.
Escalate issues to Operations Manager or MX Customs Manager, Distribution Manager as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
-Monitor and continuously improve service execution according to operational milestones:
Reduce Dwell Times (Freight Arrived to Release | Gross Performance).
Timely Warehouse Receipt (Freight Arrived to Entrada).
Timely Previo Completed (Entrada Logged to Previo Started; Previo started to Previo completed).
Workorder Ready to Load complete (WO Ready to Loaded; Loaded to Yard).
In collaboration with Operations Manager, increase productivity by contributing to the
implementation and optimization of systems and tools with the goal to increase SPP.
Daily monitoring of Previo and Data Entry discrepancy report to meet expectation.
Supervise prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process.
Actively monitor gross and net performance and drive efficiency through continuous improvement in all cycle times (Timely RLS, Weekly Performance).
Utilize reports and monitors at the required frequency to effectively manage the operation.
Maintain highest levels of compliance with all applicable regulations by being the subject matter
expert and staying updated with changes; educating staff as needed.
Share execution results with Operations Manager weekly, address concerns and communicate
changes.
Monitor and improve key District Excellence metrics.
Customers and Business Development:
Maintain and develop relationships and business opportunities with existing customers in collaboration with account management team.
Work with T&I and account management to make certain that customer requirements are properly documented (SOPs), understood and implemented for proper processing and invoicing by the team.
Work with Trade Compliance manager to understand trend discrepancy root causes and implement necessary corrective actions.
Responsible for overall Distribution/Warehouse safety.
Finance
Ensure compliance of all financial related policies, including our credit policy.
Supervise to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Supervise to ensure that billing packages are timely sent (IVM).
Review all billed not paid and paid not billed items for proper handling and closing
Expense Control: Monitor capacity to avoid and control Over Time.
Keep track of AR status and support with resolution, as necessary.
Security, Health and Safety
Responsible to inform immediately to the Branch's Health and Safety representative any unsafe condition that could put employees at risk in the workplace environment.

To be the most effective in this position we are looking for the following skills and experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in foreign trade, preferred or equivalent convention of education and
experience.
2+ years Supervisor experience.
2+ years of experience with distribution and/or warehouse operations.
2+years' experience in MX Customs Brokerage, preferred.
